Craven Accordion Orchestra Charity Showcase

Again, the Burton Accordion group were invited to join their good friends at the annual Craven Accordion Orchestra Charity Showcase event at Gargrave Village Hall in North Yorkshire. Our friendship  stretches back many years to when both Orchestras (and individual members) were competing in the National Accordion Championships. More recently we have visited Craven for their music festival as a qualifying competition for the National Championships.

We were again invited to join their Charity Showcase, a day of events aimed at raising the profile of the piano accordion whilst raising funds for their nominated charity this year – Dementia Forward. We were asked to take part in an afternoon event showcasing various solo and group performances. In the evening we joined with their orchestra for the main showcase concert.

The event raised £1370 for Dementia Forward.
