Horninglow Bungalow D Day Celebration

On 10^th June 2025 the Orchestra visited Horninglow Bungalows as part of their D Day 80^th anniversary celebrations. Many of the residents had got into the spirit of things wearing period, WW2 style dress or Union jack themed costumes. We were provided with a Gazebo decorated with cammoflage to play under.

We performed a varied programme with an emphasis on music of the period. Our programme included Dambuster March, The Sound of Music, The River Kwai March , Blue Birds over the White Cliffs of Dover and We’ll Meet Again. Many of the pieces were accompanied by singing from the audience
